A key indicator of The BHY’s success is when children and young people who have grown-up through the organisation enter into meaningful employment.
That’s why, during the Easter Holidays, we teamed-up with two local firms to provide young people with a work-experience designed to inspire the participants and help them to determine what they might like to do in the future.
A significant barrier to young people entering into the world of work from 16+ is a lack of understanding of the opportunities available and a failure for society to inspire those youngsters into meaningful employment that they can both enjoy and earn a living from. This project is about introducing them to inspiring individuals and different working environment which they could consider for their own future.
Philip Helm, Business Development Manager at Tyson’s said “Pleasure to host this event – really great group of young people – eager to learn”.
