It’s all kicked-off at The Boathouse Youth in the spirt of the World Cup. Young people have been decorating their Youth Centre, cheering on their favourite teams, organising sweepstakes and having some pretty serious discussions about the political landscape in Qatar!
All the England games are being streamed live from our Youth Centres so that young people (and staff) have somewhere safe and warm to engage with the competition. Not everyone is interested in the sport, so there’s plenty of other things for the young people to participate in, too!
We’ve got some football-mad staff on the team and we didn’t want them to feel they were missing out, so where possible staff have got together in our centres and ‘worked from the pitch’ with their laptops and a bring and share lunch.
