Tenants’ Project Fund Award – Winner!!

In June 2017 we launched our first Satellite Youth Club on the Grange Park Council Estate. The club had reached its capacity within 48 hours of online registrations going live. It was awesome!

Since then we have provided hundreds of children on the estate with many ‘firsts’ including camping, canal boating… even trips to the beach! All of this in addition to the 4-days of Youth Clubs they receive completely free-of-charge. It’s been a magical journey for us all.

We were absolutely delighted to win this award! Our CEO Laurance said “I was especially pleased for the staff and volunteers who have been involved with the Grange Park Youth Club. It’s great that all of their hard-work has been recognised and rewarded in this way. I’d also like to express thanks to our other funders and Boundary Primary School who make it all possible!”

The major donor for the Grange Park provision was The Payback Time Trust that is funded by our founder patrons, Peter & Kathy Barcock.

However, as part of the financial support towards our Grange Park Youth Club we received £8,000 from the Blackpool Coastal Housing’s Tenants’ Project Fund. BCH manage the majority of the housing-stock on the Grange Park Estate and have an ongoing commitment to supporting individuals and groups that are working to enhance the lives of those living within their areas.

Having received funding from the TPF we were eligible to be nominated in the BCH Annual Awards Ceremony held at the Hilton Hotel. We were short-listed in the Tenants’ Project Fund Category… and on the evening – we won!
