Sarah’s job is to ensure that every single provision that is delivered by The Boathouse Youth is of an acceptable standard. This means that she is responsible for our Centre Based activities, our Detached & Outreach Provision and oversees our Activities & Residential Experiences.
Sarah supports the our Youth Workers and Volunteers by meeting with them regularly to discuss their progress, their ideas and their development to ensure that the services we output to our members are always top-notch!
Sarah is a Blackpool girl and following her up-bringing on Grange Park has a great understanding of young people and the factors that affect their development into adults.
Having recently completed a degree in Education & Professional Studies at the University of Central Lancashire she is fully understanding of the ways in which young people learn and develop and, therefore, qualified to oversee the implementation of programmes which are designed to informally teach young people a variety of skills essential to us achieving our aims.
Sarah started working at The Boathouse Youth in 2015 as a volunteer whilst studying. In early 2016 she applied for a paid job within the organisation a Youth Worker and in September 2016 received a promotion to her current position.
