WHAT IS A CORPORATE PATRON?

A corporate patron is making an investment to the young people of Blackpool. You are helping to support an organisation that is working to promote positivity in an entire future generation.

Since 2009 The Boathouse Youth has worked with more than 5,000 young people – enhancing their lives by providing life-changing experiences and development opportunities to those who need it most. However, this all comes at a financial cost. We need the support of local businesses and individuals to prevent us closing our doors!

By supporting The Boathouse Youth you are making an investing into Blackpool and its future generations. This is your chance to become part of our story and unite with others who have the same aim: To provide young people with something that raises their confidence, boosts their self-esteem and, above all, brings them happiness.

We want to create young people who have the attitude, skills and abilities to contribute to their society rather than drain it… but we need your help.

The benefits to you

  • FREE CHARITY EVENT TICKETS

We hold a variety of charity events each year including Golf Days, Party Nights and an It’s A Knockout Showdown! You’ll be offered a certain number of free tickets to some or all of these events depending on the level you choose pledge.

  • PRESENTATION CERTIFICATE

You will be provided with a full-colour certificate including a photograph of you presenting the BHY Big Cheque to some of our young people for display purposes. All of the visitors to your business will be able to see that you are investing in the young people of Blackpool.

  • SUPPORTERS BOARD

Your logo and details of your contribution will be displayed on our supporters board inside our Youth Centre. This will mean all of our staff, volunteers, young people and visitors can acknowledge your giving.

  • THE BHY LOGO

You will be granted full use of The BHY Logo. You are welcome to display this on your letterheads, website, social media channels and other internal or external documents to make your support known.

  • REGULAR UPDATES

We want you to know exactly how your donation is being used and the impact that is having on the town’s children and young people. You can be linked to our social media channels and will receive email updates and invitations to visit.

  • A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BHY KID

If you’re going to contribute to our organisation then we really want you to engage with our young people. You’ll have the chance to come and spend a day with us when we’re doing activities such as camping, canal boating or even just at our Youth Centre!

THE COMMITMENT

We are looking for patrons who can make a financial pledge to The Boathouse Youth over a 3-year period. Most patrons choose to make this pledge on a monthly basis by Direct Debit whereas others make an annual lump-sum payment. In addition to making a financial contribution we would also like you to become an ambassador for our cause. We would encourage you to promote our patronage scheme to your friends and business associates with a view to generating more support.

However, if this all seems too much for you or your company then we would still love to hear from you. Ultimately, we are seeking help in all shapes and sizes.
