We can’t change the past, but we can create the future. The future of Blackpool is the children and young people!

Platinum Corporate Patron

The Boathouse Youth is proud to introduce Cliff Walker as our first Platinum Corporate Patron. Cliff, originally from Blackpool, now a Global Network Marketing Entrepreneur has decided it is time to give back some of his earnings to the children and young people living in his home town. Cliff is pictured below with his wife Bev presenting The BHY Big Cheque to members of our Seniors Section via Skype from their home in Uruguay.

Cliff & Bev have pledged £100,000 in total to be given over a 4-year period.

During the Skype call our members had the opportunity to thank the couple for their generosity. Cliff has since said “Bev & I are delighted to be able to contribute to our home town. Growing up in Blackpool in the 1970’s and 80’s was fantastic. It was THE place to live and everyone I know was proud to say they came from Blackpool. Sadly things have changed over the years. Now it’s time to put Blackpool back on the map!”

Cliff then praised our efforts by saying “The Boathouse Youth are doing some incredible work and really making a difference in the lives of young children and youth in Blackpool. We’re excited to support this effort. We can’t change the past but we CAN create the future. The future of Blackpool is the children and young people”.

Cliff’s pledge will contribute towards our core running costs and, more specifically, our Outdoor Activities including our ‘Explorer Projects’ for all age-groups and our Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme. Cliff has enabled The Boathouse Youth to continue offering the much needed provision to the children and young people of Blackpool completely free-of-charge. We owe him great thanks.
